Sweetie Pie's new home.
Sherry,
Here are some pics of our yard and fields beyond.
This home is Mark's Great grandfather's homestead. We are redoing the whole thing. This home will be 100 years old 2013. The first home built here burned down within two years. It was built in 1911. Mark's Great-grandfather/mother, Cornelius and Lena Frey showed up in Broadview, MT (7 miles away) on a train from the lush valleys of the Midwest. Mark's gramma Edith's family did this also. The Howell's lived several miles East of here. Conrad Frey (pronounced Conerd) and Edith Howell married and took over this farm. Now we have it. Its the only homestead still in the family in the area.

This is the spread where the Fine boys will live near the California/Oregon border. What a difference rain makes.
Here's Sweetie Pie with her two Borzoi buddies.
Sweetie Pie left today - September 21, 2006 for her new home in Montana. She's traveling with owner Peg's sister in law Kim and will be in her new home in a couple of days.
Bye Sweetie Pie
Beau and Patch are now in training - corraled next to their sheep so the sheep become accustomed to the dogs
Sweetie Pie finally arrived at her new home in Montana - The Frey Farm

What a smart, wise and beautiful puppy. She is such a good girl. She really is heaven sent. I think she thinks she's come to the land of darkness. She is doing good in the yard. Kim says she is attracted to flowers especially roses.
You'd think I was taking their child away. They really love her. I was right....Ben had a lot of the stories. Kim had just as many. They are going to be so lonely on the rest of their trip. This picture was taken last night. I will get more today...when the sun comes out.
What a wonderful pup Sweetie is. I have never experienced a pup so young with so much knowledge and brains. Can't wait until the sun comes up. Your story about the St. Bernard really rings true. What a happy go lucky take anything on confident puppy my Sweetie is. I am truly blessed to have her.

Subject: Updates
Hi Sherry,
I just wanted to send an update to you. We named her Shasta. She is pretty much joined at the hip to Angel... She has not been clean since she got her. She has actually been black several times from rolling in the mud. I did finally get two photos of her yesterday.
She is definitely warming up to us now.
Thanks,
Hailey

Subject: Sweetie's Cows
She loves her cows. She is so quiet when she needs to push a calf out of the haystack and back to its mom. The calves are small enough to fit between the feeder bars. So I go open the gate and Sweetie moves them back out into the field.
She goes out and licks the calves and they lick her. Then mom comes around with her head down. Sweetie walks up to mom and just puts her paw on the cow's head to let her know things are fine.
