I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
Tim Russert (1950-2008) never forgot.
"What a Country!"
On Tuesday, September 11, 2007 everyone in the USA who
will be driving a motor vehicle is asked to drive with their headlights on during daylight hours. Though no explanation is needed as to why we are commemorating September 11, we hope more importantly to pay respect to the victims of that day, show our nation's solidarity and show support for our men and women of the Armed Forces.
"It appears we have appointed our worst generals to command forces, and our most gifted and brilliant to edit newspapers! In fact, I discovered by reading newspapers that these editor/geniuses plainly saw all my strategic defects from the start, yet failed to inform me until it was too late."
"Accordingly, I'm ready and willing to yield my command to these obviously superior intellects, and I will, in turn, do my best for the Cause by writing editorials - after the fact."
Robert E. Lee, 1863
When you view this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world. Of all the gifts you could give a US/Canadian Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine deployed in harm's way, prayer is the very best!!!
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. Amen."
Please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world.
If God brings me to it, he will bring me through it!

And pray for wisdom for our leaders.

NOT ALL HEROES ARE PEOPLE

James Crane worked on the 101st floor of of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. He is blind so he has a golden retriever named Daisy. After the plane hit 20 stories below, James knew that he was doomed, so he let Daisy go, out of an act of love. She darted away into the darkened hallway. Choking on the fumes of the jet fuel and the smoke James was just waiting to die. About 30 minutes later, Daisy comes back along with James' boss, who Daisy just happened to pick up on floor 112. On her first run of the building, she leads James, James' boss, and about 300 more people out of the doomed building. But she wasn't through yet, she knew there were others who were trapped. So, highly against James' wishes she ran back in the building. On her second run, she saved 392 lives. Again she went back in. During this run, the building collapses. James hears about this and falls on his knees into tears. Against all known odds, Daisy makes it out alive, but this time she is carried by a firefighter. "She led us right to the people, before she got injured" the fireman explained. Her final run saved another 273 lives. She suffered acute smoke inhalation, severe burns on all four paws, and a broken leg, but she saved 967 lives. The next week, Mayor Guilaini rewards Daisy with the Canine medal of Honor of New York. Daisy is the first civilian Canine to win such an honor.
The attached photo was forwarded from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq. They would like to have it passed to as many people as possible, to let the folks back home know that they remember why they're there and that they remember those who've been lost.
May today there be peace within you.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."
If God brings me to it, he will bring me through it!

I watched the flag pass by one day,
It fluttered in the breeze.
I watched the flag pass by one day,
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
And then he stood at ease..
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
With hair cut square and eyes alert
He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free.
I heard the sound of Taps one night,
When everything was still,
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.
Enjoy Your Freedom & God Bless Our Troops

It's truly awesome!
Because maneuvers are usually in remote areas and over water, the general
public does not get to see these exercises.
READ THE BLACK PATCH UNDER THE US FLAG
(The flags are France, Germany, and Russia)
I am The Flag!
I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is Old Glory.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.
I stand for freedom.
I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am proud.
When I am flown with my fellow banners,
My head is a little higher,
My colors a little truer.
I bow to no one!
I am recognized all over the world.
I am worshipped - I am saluted.
I am loved - I am revered.
I am respected - and I am feared.
I have fought in every battle of every war for more then 200 years.I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh and Appomattox.
I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches oF France,
in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and the beaches of Normandy.
Guam, Okinawa, Korea and KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam know me.
I'm presently in the mountains of Afghanistan and the hot and dusty deserts of Iraq and wherever freedom is needed.
I led my troops, I was dirty, battleworn and tired,
But my soldiers cheered me and I was proud.
I have been burned, torn, and trampled on the streets of countries I have helped set free.
It does not hurt for I am invincible.
I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and trampled in the streets of my country.
And when it's done by those Whom I've served in battle - it hurts.
But I shall overcome - for I am strong.
I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stood watch over the uncharted frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon.
I have borne silent witness to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hours are yet to come.
When I am torn into strips and used as bandages for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent
at the grave of their fallen son or daughter,
I am proud.
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. 1954-2004 The new banner hangs across the street from the US Supreme Court, and was unfurled the very day the Supreme Court dismissed the suit against the Pledge. Ironically, it was also the date of the 50th anniversary of the insertion of "Under God."

Soldiers' Prayer
When you see this, please stop for a moment and
say a prayer for our servicemen. This can be very powerful. Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Prayer is the very best one.
SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- The first major airlift of dogs from the hurricane-battered Gulf Coast left Louisiana on Sunday, carrying about 80 pets to new temporary homes in California.
The Continental Airlines flight from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was chartered for about $50,000 by Texas oil tycoon Boone Pickens and his wife, Madeleine, in a movement dubbed "Operation Pet Lift."
Some dogs were placed in cages in the cargo section while others rode in the passenger cabin, where they barked and wag

This is a prayer request for
a man in need of prayer.
Please, take a moment and pray for this man. He is in a situation that few people find themselves. He is criticized at every turn, and few people have thanked him for the good things he has done. Few people know the extent of his situation. We need to pray that God gives him the guidance he needs to do his job effectively. I have attached a photo of this man. Look at it. Most of you will recognize him. Please pray for him. Feel free to pass this on to anyone else who will pray for this man. He hasn't asked me to send this request, but I am sure that he will appreciate all your prayers. If you were facing what he is facing, you'd want people praying for you! Thanks! No matter what party you support, this man is our President right now and needs our help in prayers. This country belongs to all of us.
IN GOD WE TRUST
Really have to love this guy. God rest his soul.

I was perusing the internet looking for a new buck for my boer goat herd. I came upon your website (linked from Duh Goat Man). I am the mother of young man in uniform. Your website is phenomenal. There is no way that we can support our young men and women too much. It seems some times that so many here in the U.S. have forgotten that 3000+ died on Sept 11, 2001. They died not because they did anything wrong, or because they deserved to die. They died because there is an element in this world called hate. Radical Islamists, full of hate, believing a lie, chose to murder innocents in cold blood as they carried out their daily lives. The world changed that day. We have to root out and destroy the evil before it destroys us. We can't wait until they kill another 3000 or 100,000 or untold thousands.
My heart breaks with the death of every soldier, sailor, airman or marine. One of those could be mine. I have heard politicians (mostly from the left) claim that these young men and women were duped, they are only in the military because they couldn't find a job anywhere else, that they are the lower class and lower intelligence that couldn't make in the real world and therefore joined the military. They didn't join because they wanted to, they joined because they had no choice is the inference. Nothing could be further from the truth. The vast majority of these young people are the best and brightest this country has to offer. In our church alone there are over 20 young men and woman who have joined the fight. My son, in his sophmore year in highschool, saw the towers fall and knew from that moment that serving his country in this fight was his only option. He is a Fire Controlman serving aboard the USS Chosin out of Pearl Harbor. He operates the Mark 86, the Navy's largest gun. (enormous firepower, every little boy's dream) The purpose of that gun is to defend his ship from attack from the sea or air. The lives of everyone on his ship depend on him doing his job correctly. He scored a 28 on the ACT he could have done anything he wanted with his life. This is what he wanted. Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of all who threaten it.
Thank you for the support of our Commander in Chief and the troops he commands.

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos (all angles) of the rock. I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.
