Shefaro Alejandra's Paloma
Terje Ellingsen, Denmark
Shefaro Alejandra's Paloma, daughter of American Champion Lhaghana Darnilo-of-Zarina and American, International, Costa Rican, Grand Champion of Costa Rica, Mexican & World Champion Shefaro's Alejandra, was born on July 21, at Shefaro in San Antonio, Texas.
She arrived in Denmark on May 9, the following year, and was received with enthusiasm by the other two Borzoi in the house. She adapted to her new surroundings remarkably fast, and now it's like she was bred and born here.
Her breeder, Sherry Faye Rodarmor, has kindly been letting me take part in Paloma's upbringing through uncountable photos!
I am forever grateful for getting Paloma here, and my deepest thanks go to Sherry and to Jaye Rose, who brought Paloma to Europe for me.

Paloma made her first kill yesterday! I live surrounded by wheat fields, with an abundance of rabbits, and yesterday evening, one had slipped through the open gate of the dog pen. Paloma saw it first, and before I could even react, she'd caught it and with one well placed shake of her head, the rabbit was dead with a broken back. Sweet, gentle and shy Paloma!! Seeing what these dogs originally were bred for with my own eyes was quite amazing! And the rabbit? It's gutted, cleaned, in the freezer, and will make dinner one day. I'll share with Paloma... Terje

She is very beloved. I thought no dog could ever take Miska's place in my
heart - but Paloma has secured that seat firmly for herself. As she has
grown older and more mature, her confidence has built up, she's the easiest
and best behaved dog I've ever had - including Miska. And she's doing a
wonderful job of keeping the other two in line if necessary. Terje
