The World Dog Show Mexico 2007 (under construction)
May 23, 2007 found me leaving for Mexico City with Lily, Honore and Lorelei. I was Mrs. Murphy having entered three girls with one blowing coat and one coming in heat. Thank goodness no one limped! The shows were a great success all things considered. We came home with three new Mexican Champions of the World Show. Lily outdid herself with Best Junior Ibizan Hound of the Americas and World and an FCI (Spitz/Primitive) Group Four. Honore took honors of Best Puppy B in breed and two Puppy B FCI (Sighthound) Group First wins. Everyone LOVED my girls and I was proud to be with them. We returned home May 28, 2007 tired and proud.
There were 31 rings and the hall was probably as long as a football field - at least it felt that way going from ring 29 to ring 10 and back to 23 for my different entries. The group rings were at the far end of the building as was the photographer. This is a view from the grooming area.
View from the World Dog Show headquarters - the Hippodromo (race track)
Mexican Champion, Junior Champion of the Americas, Junior World Champion Serandida Shefaro's Calalily, Best Junior of Breed and Group fourth in the Primitive/Spitz Group (FCI Group 5)
Mexican Champion, Puppy B Champion of the Americas, Puppy B World Champion Srinagar Shefaro Honore (Best Puppy B in Breed all four days and twice Group First in FCI Group 10 (Sighthound)
Work hard
Lorelei lacks coat but won her Mexican Champion of the World Dog Show 2007 winners bitch, CACIB (International point)
What she lacked in coat, she more than made up for with her correct conformation and beautiful movement. Lacking one major for her AKC Championship, we'll be back in the ring when she gets her coat.
Play hard
Sleep hard.
The last day - Sunday - The World Champion Saluki Puppy B (6-9) and Best Puppy B of breed awarded to Honore. We are thanking the judge.
